   Best match from our side since 1988.
   I still cant believe it , and im still shaking from last evening.
   Also in Holland we didnt expect this to happen!

    sorry but the game could of gone either way, lets be honest Italy probably deserve to lose but they had two open chances at goal against the goalie, so its unfair to say that the Netherlands were the superior team, because Italy play a hell of a match they just couldn’t get it in the goal.

    Euh.. alejandro, did you see the match? If all serious chances were goals, it would have been 7-2 for the Dutch.

    Don’t understand me wrong, the Italians did play a decent match, but far from their best. They were overclassed by the Ducth on all lines, including defense. Especially the midfield was completely in Dutch control (with good work from Van der Vaart over there).

    In my opinion, the Italians were lucky. Van Nistelroy has been alone in front of the keeper twice without scoring. I don’t know if you’re famialar with his statistics, but in almost all occasions that’s a goal. It should have been 3-0 at the end of the first half. At the end of the second half, the Dutch almost made a fourth and a fifth goal.

    The Italians got slapped, but it could of been an embarrasment.

    However, I do agree if the Italians were lucky and scored first, it would have been a completely different match as they could fall back and concentrate on their expertise: defense. On the offensive front, the Italian team that walked on the grass did not have a chance against the Dutch.

    Holland played better, and more lively, but Italy played a fair good game.
    Nullify the first goal in off-side, give Italy the penalty on Luca Toni, and the match would definitely change.

    People still complaining about the Offside??

    The player isnt out of the play for an injury threahtment so is still taking part of the game, so NO offside;).

    The first goal of the Netherlands wasn’t off-side.
    You have to count that guy from Italy against the post also as a man in-game. So van Nistelrooy wasn’t at a off-side position. ( sorry for my bad English by the way ).

    so its irrelevent if the Italians couldve goaled, THEY DID NOT, HOLLAND WAS SUPERIOR IN THIS GAME
